Professional Skills - Feedback and Reflection, Core Values

Why:

Whenever I am confused or have questions about my portfolio, I go for feedback to get me back on the right track. For this instance, I was confused about how to create a certain page for my group project.

How:

I approached one of my teachers to explain my situation and ask for guidance on whether I should use a grid or flexbox layout for a specific page layout. The teacher explained to me why I should use a flexbox and not a grid.

What:

I then applied the feedback to my work and built the page using flexboxes in the specific layout that was suggested.

Reflection:

I am glad I went for feedback on this issue because otherwise, I would have chosen to use a grid. This would have made it much harder to create, and especially the responsiveness would be a huge problem.

Why:

Me and my group do a reflection at the end of every phase of the group project. During this, we go over the things we need to stop, start, and keep doing to improve our workflow.

How:

First, we grabbed some markers and sticky notes. We then reserved a private room to do the reflection without any interruptions. Together with one of the group members, I explained to the others how it worked. We then each started writing our own reflections, either personal or group-related, for the start, stop, and keep doing categories.

What:

Once we decided we were done, we each explained what we wrote and how this affects our project. The main thing we concluded from this reflection was that our communication was good, and we should keep working the way we are now. However, we decided to stop allowing issues related to attendance and being late. What we are going to start doing is notifying the members when unable to come.

Reflection:

The reflection was an important part of our project because it made it clear what we could do to improve our workflow. Next time, I would like to do more reflections as towards the end of the project we did fewer reflections.
